Wood + Stone Fabrication Assistant, Installation Strategist
Matthew has worked with Artemis Studios, on several public art commissions and exhibitions. Most recently he crafted over 80 non-standard joints for the Sculptural works on display in Artemis' latest exhibition, Anamnesis, at the Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University.
Matthew receiving his BFA from Georgia State University in Art Education, and is currently working on his MFA in Sculpture at SCAD Atlanta.
Matthew also teaches art full-time at Roswell High School.
Vanessa assists in the organization and preservation of Maria's extensive body of work - cataloguing slides and recording individual image data. Recently she worked to restore wall constructions for the recent exhibition at the Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University.
Vanessa is a practicing artist. she received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY and did post-graduate studies at The National University of Ireland Galway, Burren College of Art Ballyvaughan, Ireland.
Elyse utilizes her illustrator background to assist Maria with of her digital design needs. This includes maintaining her website as well as preparation of proposals and portfolios for submission. Currently she is preparing fabrication documents for Maria's Art-In-Transit design for the new light rail, Parkwood Station, to open in Charlotte, NC in early 2017.
Elyse is completing her MA in Illustration at SCAD-Atlanta as well as working as a freelance illustrator.
William, a recent graduate of KSU's architecture program, has worked alongside artists throughout his time in school. His early work with Maria, inspired his career move to the creative art field. HIs work entails digital and physical modeling for visualization, planning, fabrication and analysis of Maria's work and proposals.
He often joins the fabrication and installation crew, adding to the discussion and musings about the work, its context and possibilities.
Business + Creative Consultant
Don aids in both conceptual development and technical and installation strategies. Artemis Studios is served by his past business and contracting experience as President of Lewis Mclane Inc., a commercial design and contracting firm.
He received his BLAR in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. and currently works as an artist and master woodworker at Donald Lewis Works in Wood.
